The problem
Most internal tooling is half a dozen SaaS subscriptions, duct-taped together.
Most companies cobble together some combination of approaches: a few SaaS tools, some agency work, maybe a part-time engineer. None of it fits perfectly, the costs compound, and someone on your team is always patching the seams.
Waiting on someone else's roadmap
When a vendor doesn't ship what you need, you wait. Or you build a workaround. Or you swap tools and start over.
Nothing quite fits
Every tool is 80% right. The other 20% lives in spreadsheets, Slack threads, and someone's head.
Data scattered everywhere
Different systems, different shapes, conflicting sources of truth. Half your ops time goes to reconciling it.
The math
One-time build. Forever yours.
Numbers below are illustrative for a typical 50–150 person company. Yours will be different. Usually bigger.
Today: your stitched-together stack
Tomorrow: built once, owned forever
Year 2 onward the math compounds: ~$4,800/yr in hosting versus $104,400+/yr in subscriptions, growing every renewal cycle. Most clients break even within 12 months.
How we work together
Three ways in. Designed to ladder.
Most engagements start with a discovery sprint and grow into a build. A retainer comes after, only if you want one.
01 · Entry point
Discovery sprint
A 1–2 week audit. Map the workflows, total up your SaaS spend, and walk away with a prioritized roadmap.
02 · Core work
Build engagement
4–12 weeks. Fixed scope, fixed price. A fitted tool that replaces the SaaS stack, and keeps fitting as you grow.
03 · Long-term
Retainer
Optional. Monthly capacity for upkeep, small features, and incremental rollouts. A long-term partner without a full-time hire.
What an engagement looks like
A plug-and-play in-house forward deploy motion.
Discovery call
30 minutes. Free. We figure out together if there's a fit.
Audit and spec
We dig into the workflows and tools you're using to identify gaps, scope the build, and lock in the plan. Fixed scope, fixed fee.
Collaborative build
We work as partners to ship a solution that fits 100% of how your team actually works. You're looped in along the way. No mandatory weekly status reports, just clear checkpoints so you always know where we left off and where we're headed.
Hand off the keys
Production, docs, training. You own the code from day one. And if you have an in-house dev team, the codebase is structured and documented so they can pick it up and extend it from day one too.
About me
An extension of your team.
I've spent the last decade building software end-to-end, half in consumer apps and half in enterprise, including the post-acquisition integration work where most internal-tooling debt actually lives.
I founded and sold Product Signals, an internal tool that helped product, customer success, and sales teams collaborate around customer feedback with LLMs and AI woven throughout (acquired by ClientSuccess in 2024). Along the way I've shipped integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Google Maps, QuickBooks, and a long list of others. The plumbing that turns a clever demo into something that actually runs in production.
I'm also comfortable with the parts most builders avoid: SOC 2, HIPAA, and the enterprise security practices internal tools have to clear before they touch real customer data.
My background spans design, product management, and full-stack engineering, so I can sit with your designers, PMs, and engineers and speak each of their languages without losing context in the handoff. For the length of an engagement, we operate like a small product team: your operators and one embedded builder, working on the same problem.
How we fit with your team
Don't pay with your roadmap.
Think of us as a specialist crew you bring in for a fixed window, a temporary extension of your team. We drop in, build the system, hand off the keys, and leave. Your engineers stay on the work that actually moves the business. In a market where speed is everything, every sprint they spend on internal tooling is a sprint your product doesn't ship. And that opportunity cost compounds fast.
If you have an in-house dev team
We build with your engineers in mind. Clean, conventional, well-documented code, ready for them to extend, refactor, or own outright the day we hand off the keys. No archaeology required.
If you don't
A dev team isn't required. We design, build, ship, document, and train. You can keep running the tool as-is indefinitely, or bring on engineers later and have them step in cleanly.
Industry focus
Three verticals we go deep in.
The approach applies across B2B SaaS broadly, but we've seen the biggest productivity gains and the most meaningful impact in these three verticals. Here are a few examples of use cases we could solve in each.
Automotive
Dealer groups, manufacturers, and the systems between them. Wholesale, incentives, F&I, fixed ops. Most workflows span four to six vendors at minimum.
Real-time wholesale and inventory forecasting
Hit your monthly number on one live screen instead of reconciling four reports.
Stacked incentive orchestrator
National, regional, and dealer programs in a single quote-builder, with a clean audit trail back to the OEM portal.
Lead-to-delivery workflow console
CRM, DMS, and OEM warranty and parts portals on a single deal view. Six tabs become one.
Biotech
R&D, process dev, manufacturing, and regulatory. The cost of disconnected LIMS, ELN, Veeva, Benchling, and MES shows up at audit time.
Unified LIMS, ELN, and instrument workspace
One source of truth across samples, notes, and assay output. Stop chasing 'the latest titer' across spreadsheets.
Research-to-manufacturing handoff
Full batch lineage from discovery to CMO or MES, so quality and ops never lose context downstream.
Regulatory submission orchestrator
21 CFR Part 11-ready packets assembled from Veeva, Benchling, and SharePoint in minutes, not weeks.
Agencies and specialty services
Marketing agencies, consultancies, and project-based service firms. The margin lives in the seams between time tracking, billing, capacity, and delivery.
Per-project margin and utilization dashboard
Spot bleeding clients before the quarter closes, not after.
Branded client delivery portal
One branded hub for milestones, approvals, and retainer burn-down. Retires the Dropbox, email, and Loom sprawl.
Pipeline-to-capacity planner
Forecast bench time and overload weeks out. Hire before you drown, not after.
Illustrative examples, not a fixed menu. We also work with B2B SaaS more broadly on the same kinds of internal-tooling, integration, and workflow problems.
